Windscreen replacement drive away times

With a windscreen replacement, you will have to wait until the glue has dried enough before you can drive, this is different for every type of glue. The glue that VehicleGlaze® uses has a cure time of 1 hour. there may be some tape left on the vehicle also. If this is the case then this should also be left on for a minimum of 1 hour.

Side window drive away times

Side window replacements generally don't have to be left before you can use the vehicle. Depending on the exact model, you may be told not to operate the window for the next few hours, but you can still drive the vehicle.

Rear window drive away times

The rear window is the same as the front windscreen in most cases, it will require a 1 hour drying time before you can use your vehicle on the road.

How long before i can wash my car after window replacement

Generally speaking, it depends on the window that's been replaced, if it's a front windscreen, then you will have to wait 4 hours before you can use a pressure washer on the vehicle. for side windows that are not bonded (like an up and down door glass), you can wash the vehicle straight away. The rear window will also need to sit for 4 hours.
